By creating an account or using LegacyShield AI ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and LegacyShield AI.
LegacyShield AI is a technology platform that helps you organize estate planning information and generate document drafts. We are NOT a law firm. The Service does not provide legal advice, and use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Documents generated by the Service are templates and should be reviewed by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before signing.
You must be 18 years or older and a U.S. resident to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts engaged in abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
Paid plans are billed at the prices and intervals shown at checkout. One-time purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We use Stripe to process payments; their terms also apply.
The Service uses AI models to generate suggestions, document language, and explanations. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or content that does not reflect the laws of your state. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated content with a qualified professional before relying on it.
Your data is yours. We act as your data processor. See our Privacy Policy for details on collection, storage, security, and your rights including export and deletion. You may export your data or request account deletion at any time from Privacy & Account settings.
Our software, designs, and brand are owned by LegacyShield AI. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal estate planning. Document templates we generate become yours; the underlying generation system does not.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service; (c) submit false information about another person without their consent; (d) use the Service to harm, harass, or defraud others.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGACYSHIELD AI'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE FEES YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold LegacyShield AI harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and require renewed acceptance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, except for small-claims court matters and intellectual property disputes.
